If you want to produce 95% of power by renewable means, it often requires a very large investment. The cost is more important with a very big produce of energy!! The sound of a wind turbine at home is between 45db and 60db! It must be driven at a high shaft speed (over 2000 rpm). You can reuse a permanent magnet motor as a generator.
