I)Why a wind turbine at home?
______________________________________________________________

Wind Power is dedicated to helping the environment, by using wind power to stop emissions into the atmosphere. Now we can help by using wind turbines at home.

II)How choose the small wind system?
______________________________________________________________

Choose a wind turbine is very difficult because the buyer don't know what sort of wind turbine to chosen, like the prices (systems up to 1 kW will cost around £3000), the quality, the efficacity ect.
However, by applying some knowledge it is possible to get the best results out of your system. Customers often ask to advice them on what size turbine they require...but it is important to realise that as well as the differing environmental factors , there are personal considerations that need to be taken into account. In fact, YOU are ideally placed to make the decisions - as you know your situation better than any consultant can. To have better results, you must have the explications!

III)The production
______________________________________________________________

Therefore, although it may be relatively easy to produce a system will provide 50% of the power, it will be much more difficult to produce a system that will provide 75%. If you want to produce 95% of power by renewable means, it often requires a very large investment. The cost is more important with a very big produce of energy!!

IV)The impact on the birds:
______________________________________________________________

The wind turbine at home produce some problems for the garden bird and the wildlife. Because the animals are taking in the blades and they died. So the small wind systems are economic but they dangerous for the wildlife. We can put a protection or a less dangerous system for them.

V)More generaly:

______________________________________________________________

Be careful not to let the children play close of the wind turbine in your garden!! It's very dangerous for them! If you have the land, get a couple of turbines and combine the power to have a maximum power. Solar is good for summer days and your turbines will typically produce more power during the winter months. Each months, there is a new technologie to improve the wind turbine and more produce.

VI) Documentation

______________________________________________________________

Wind turbines at home need to be large in relation to the power they produce. The size of the blades is about to 17'' (( 43cm because 1 inch 2.54 cm )). A rotor diameter of 2 metres might yield about 500 kWh of electricity per year. The sound of a wind turbine at home is between 45db and 60db! It must be driven at a high shaft speed (over 2000 rpm). You can reuse a permanent magnet motor as a generator. If you want, you can make your own wind turbine.

dB: The decibel (dB) is used to measure sound level.
kWh: kilowatthour,is a practical unit of measurement of energy. It's especially used for the electric power.
rpm: rotation per minute , is a unit used to measure a number of revolutions.
